Blackout Bowl! (Day One)

Then we arrived in New Orleans!  The city was decked out every place to welcome the fans!  Here's what we saw at our gate in the airport-

We decided to skip the rental car counter at the airport and a good friend of ours from church, Leah, is living down in New Orleans now so she came and picked us up to take us to our hotel!  I checked in to the hotel, then picked up further details from the contest coordinator on the trip.  We went up to our room and unpacked.  I decided to look around the area and see what was out there.  Since we're not much on cajun food or spiciness, we weren't really looking into native restaurants.  I picked up some fast food dinner, brought it back to the hotel, and Wanda and I did one of our favorite pastime activities, SkipBo!

We watched news coverage on TV of what was going on in the area and started planning out our next day!
